WHO IS ANNA
/
The negatives = Elitist snob (NOT snub!!), vindictive bitch, merciless / strict / unforgiving, spelling disaster, short tempered, arrogant, or ignorant (but NEVER simultaneously), messy, no sense of humor (or way too dry for the public); cynical, curt (when angry) / longwinded (when happy) rarely succinct.
The positives = reliable, just, generous, protective, decisive, creative, adventurous, adaptive/diversified (shoot from the hip or plan the heck-out-of-it are both my comfort-zones), resilient, persevering, have gumption, openminded, “can do” attitude / positive (though won’t be Voltaire’s Candide!).
Now comes the twist: I use my negatives for positive outcome, wherever I can.
Messy → come up with organization systems that are 5S-ed to the gills and easy to maintain;
all the attitude and temper stuff → use it to protect the ones who cannot speak up for themselves. Having a fire-spitting beast on your side who does not get run over by emotions but thinks straight even under tremendous pressure can come handy!
Spelling imbecile / no humor → make fun of myself to keep myself in check (and push my comfort limits a bit).
If you think cynical and positive are contradictory, I strive on oxymorons and have the two live in perfect harmony within me…totally Aquarius / Tiger trait.
5 CORE VALUES:
JUSTICE – LOVE – BALANCE – BEAUTY – INTELLECT
Justice: What you do does not have to be good nor bad; – but must be Fair. Do no harm to others or self. Punishment must fit wrong-doing. Start no conflict, but stand for no injustice. Collateral damage is not acceptable. Power ought to be about responsibility, not about opportunity, prestige nor abuse. Respect is earned not demanded. We must create systems where a person’s destiny is not left so much to Fortuna. A healthy environment (physically/mentally/emotionally) ought not be left to random chance but ought to be a human right guaranteed by our societal systems we create.
Love: What is life without love? Like food without any flavor. Love comes on its own, not given or taken. Love is its own reason. (Fitting into Gödel’s incompleteness theorem…it’s such a basic truth that proving it is not possible.) (Ergo, must not question, just accept….and I guess this is where most religious folks fit god into, on blind faith. For me, it’s love. ) Whom you love is your private affair nobody should have a say in it. What you do, is a slightly different question. Must be free will and consensual. After that, the sky is the limit.
Beauty: Our brains are wired to seek it. For me it’s not luxury, it’s a necessity. (My love for art (and pretty boys!) stems from this.)
Balance: = Harmony. As the old saying goes: everything in moderation. In my experience, balance must be present otherwise something bad is going to come from it.
Intellect: Goes with beauty. There is something irresistible about a beautiful mind. (How you use it and for what purpose is another layer. Hence why Balance and Justice outrank intellect.) Seek knowledge and wisdom.
MY INTERESTS:
Art / Science / Politics
Art = the ultimate freedom of no restraints / SEEK BEAUTY
Science = NO BS just facts / SEEK KNOWLEDGE
Politics = the ultimate challenge: (to fix things) / SEEK JUSTICE (if only this is how it’d play out in life!)
Issue in most cases, not what you have, but how you use it and for what purpose. Anger can eat you up, or fuel your actions to bring about positive change. A knife can cut bread so it can be shared, or end someone’s life.
My extracurricular activities over the years (a girl must have her hobbies, right?):
ballet (@4 and then @late 30s), enameling (@7-19), etching (@8-9), theatre (singing in Hary Janos at the City Theatre running for a year) (@9-10), karate (shotokan) (@9-10), piano (@8-11), radio/ tv / cinema commercials / interviews (@9-15), gymnastics (@11-12), art classes (@13-22), choir (6-19), joined church choir as I missed choir singing (They were ok with my views on god, they didn’t try to convert me, thus I didn’t try to disillusion them. ) (mid-twenties), skiing (mid-twenties), taekwondo (late-twenties), horseback riding [English style] (late-twenties), tennis (early-thirties), home renovating projects/ gardening (@21- present), cooking/ baking (a must in my country for all), traveling.
I have three cardinal sins I try to stay away from: Stupidity, indolence, being unfair. (Note: Education has nothing to do with stupidity!) But being a well-intentioned idiot is just as dangerous as a smart evil jerk. Now, if it is an evil idiot, we are just doomed.)
The principles of taekwondo: resonate with my attitude just fine:
- Courtesy
- Integrity
- Perseverance
- Self-Control
- Indomitable Spirit

There is truth to the above, but the “never judge” goes something more like this.: I will consider all circumstances and let the person chose who they wish to be. If they do not hurt others/self, I am OK with whatever floats their boat. If they hurt others/self, I will speak my mind/ step in. I analyze… and I do judge, but I will not hold circumstances against anyone. It’s OK (though not desired!) to make mistakes, but must try to fix it properly. “Unconventional” is also a very strong YES. I will never let social conventions limit my scope. It may be outrageous for others, but for me, it’s just Tuesday. It’s not for everyone. Take it or leave it, but part of who I am. I do things for my own entertainment not for others’. Want to argue with me? Keep your melodrama, bring your excel charts!
